The hyena for this film was my first realistic creature in my career. It was painted to match a live hyena they used on set. I painted all of the skin maps, including sculpted detail, sss maps, and fur color maps. Lookdev & Groom by Lisa Clarity
I was also lucky enough to work on the humpback whale, and painted the hero tree extensions, and the tooth fruit branch, and ball of leaves. As someone that would be happy to paint plants, this was one of the most fun shows of my career.
Also helped develop the passes and setup for the daytime and nighttime trees for the islands; painting the multiple trees and environment was a team effort that multiple talented texture artists on the show were involved in.
